Aloevera

Aloevera contains over the 240 nutritional and medicinal ingredients,

Including vitamins, minerals, enzymes, sugars, lignin, saponins,

Sterols, amino acids, salicylic acid etc.

Other natural product not containing so many ingredients beneficial to

Health.

 


1. Amino Acids

2. Enzymes

Aloe Vera contains 8 enzymes:

     1.    Carboxypeptidase

     2.    Catalase

     3.    Cellulase

     4.    Lipase

     5.    Peroxidase

     6.    Aliiase

     7.    Alkaline phosphatase

     8.    Amylase

 

This enzymes help break down sugars and fats from food and improve digestion and absorption of nutrients in body.

 

3. Hormones

Aloe vera contains two hormones:

a.    Auxin

b.    Gibberellin

This two hormones help in wound healing, prevent inflammation and infection.

Gibberellin acts as a growth hormone that regenerates cells and stimulates their growth.

 

4. Lignins

Lignins are plant fibers which are used to connect and support, and give the strength to plant.

Lignins in Aloe Vera which penetrate deep into the skin and introduce other medicinal ingredients of aloe vera into our skin.

 

5. Salicylic acid

They contains salicylic acid which is natural painkiller and also anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

Aspirin is nothing but it is salicylic acid in chemical form.

 

6. Saponins

 

Saponins have a cleansing and antiseptic effect.

They have anti-microbial properties so they protect against bacteria, viruses and fungi.

 

7. Sterols

 

Aloe vera contains four plant sterols:

                                          i.    Cholesterol

                                        ii.    Campesterol

                                       iii.    Lupeol

                                       iv.    Sitosterol

Sterols have anti-inflammatory properties. Lupeol also has antiseptic and analgesic effects.

 

8. Vitamins

Aloe vera contains the following vitamins:

Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoksin), Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Kolin, Folate, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Vitamins A, C and E have antioxidant properties and also neutralize free radicals in to body

Group B vitamins and choline which are responsible for the metabolism.

Vitamin B12 which is responsible for the formation of red blood cells (RBCs), while folic acid is necessary for proper cell development.

 

9. Minerals

Minerals are inorganic substances which constitute 4-5% of the human body.

They are necessary for preserving the delicate balance of cellular ionic liquids, building bone tissue and blood cells, the electrochemical activity of nerve cells and the regulation of muscle tone.

 

Many minerals were found in aloe vera, to name only the top 9:

     1.    Calcium,

     2.    Chrome,

     3.    Iron,

     4.    Magnesium,

     5.    Manganese,

     6.    Potassium,

     7.    Phosphorus,

     8.    Sodium,

     9.    Zinc

 

10. Sugars

 

They contains two monosaccharides,

     1.    glucose and

     2.    fructose,

Which have anti-inflammatory effects. 

It is also a rich source of polysaccharides.

Polysaccharides are found in every cell of animal body.

After 10 year we are completely dependent on external sources of polysaccharides.

From the leaves of aloe vera a special ingredient called acemannan. 

Acemannan deserves special mention. This polysaccharide has antiviral and immune stimulating properties.

Curcuma longa is a scientific name of Turmeric

The Active principle is Curcumin which has properties of:

o   Enhancement of wound healing in animals

o   Natural Antioxidant

o   Antirheumatic activity

o   Curcumin is a non steroidal Anti inflamatory agent     



Lime/ Calcium Hydroxide



Calcium Hydroxide is a strongly alkaline substance

pH of 12.5

Properties:

o   Antimicrobial Activity

o   Tissue Dissolving Activity

o   Induction of repair by hard tissue formation

Properties:
